| Hey Kids,
Sue Sandberg and I have written a song for the new Adam Sandler movie The Heartbreak Kid. The song is called
"Screwed Up". It will be on Sue's new record next month.
Danny Wilde is just putting his finishing touches on the mixes for the cd.

| Where are they now?”: Jesse Valenzuela of the Gin Blossoms and Craig Northey of Canada’s the Odds. In case you didn’t know it, the two have come together to form Northey Valenzuela, which is also the title of their 2006 songwriting collaboration. What’s to be expected? Easy listening, smooth production, and clever lyrics – it works.
“Talk to Yourself” the album’s opening track serves a message of self help accompanied by an upbeat tempo and strong guitar riffs. The rhythmic instrumental of “Bulletproof Jacket” features soulful organs, and pleasant clinking piano chords that make for a wonderfully mellow tune. “Not a Lot Going On” is another upbeat track that jams all the way through, hoping to catch that special someone’s roaming eye and get her to take a “second look.” Finally, on “Halfway to Happy”, lyrics like: "Your alphabet’s got 13 letters/ I give up on making you feel better." speak to the frustrations of changing a negative mindset. If you’re looking for mellow music with a kick and lyrical appeal, Northey Valenzuela is worth a try.
